I have just purchased a k800i on Vodafone. Everything works fine except making and receiving calls. I’ve tried all the different options in the settings that I can think of and nothing seems to be working. I can connect to Vodafone to enquire about my balance but that’s all it will. Sending and receiving texts is no problem, just using it as a phone. Any ideas?

I have the same phone and i sometimes suffer this although it just usually sorts itself out, i dont know why ! Try and configure it, say have contacted vodafone? or where did you buy this phone from a genuine shop? i mean this could have been damaged , check the settings again, or maybe you have dropped it, water spillage, check all this thoroughly and if nothing happens , i would think about contacting them defnetly and them wot the hell is going on, this should not be happening and it should def sort out if you have tried everything,Have you read the manual? is the volume control up? Why dont you try ringing your mob from a house phone and if it displays that you are calling (your mobile) and not making a noise then it may be the volume.
What about registering your handset? this may be a new thing you have to do in order for it too work although i wouldnt think so but give it a try and see what happens. Go online to vodafone’s webspage and see if there is a helpline or an email address and contact them via there
