Recently installed Debian and completely new to linux. Installed Samba package and selected the shared folder. On my windows machine, I can see the linux box but not a folder or drive under it. The folder is shared under linux with SMB (also tried NFS). The Windows machine has TCP/IP, IPX/SPX and Netbios protocols. When I bring up the add network place window, I can see the box but no folder/drive. When I right click to add it, I get a login window but no login I type in works. Tried the root and user I set up with installation.
Need help with this but also could someone recommend a complete noob guide to linux? All the sites I’ve read are not easy for complete beginers.

if your getting spam onto your myspace as comments then u need too change your password.
if your emails been hack and it the one you use for your myspace, then you may what to do is get a new email.
if you what to delete then go onto account settings and then scroll at the bottom of the page and it will let you cancel your page.

I have had a yahoo email add for over 8-9 yrs now and suddenly last week i tried to log in and it gave me an error about wrong password entered. I DID NOT CHANGE MY PASSWORD.i opened my email in the afternoon and night when i wanted to log in, it didnt allow me to.someone hacked my a/c in a span of 5-6 hrs and that person must be really smart to hack my a/c cause iam very very careful with where and how i open my email etc. My email was very sentimental and close to me and i have had it since the begining. all my contacts/emails etc are lost. years for networking down the drain.iam so frustrated and feel sadened. and i tried to retrieve my password by answerin my secret question, but i dont remember what answer i had given as i formed it over 9 yrs ago.yahoo customer service is of no help too.they are askin me to answer my question 1st. Yahoo service s*cks!! Yahoo shoudld develop another way to identify real owners.CAN SOME1 HELP ME?ADVICE ME?IAM HEARTBROKEN WITH THIS LOSS…

My dog has been hacking for months. He’s gone to the vet several times, had his blood levels checked. They put him on an antibiotic at one time and it seem to work for about a week and then it came back.
The vet said it is due to allergies and that he has dripping from his nose into his throat making him cough. The antihistemine they gave him didn’t help so I began giving him benadryl which at least helps him sleep soundly at night. He also itches a lot too.
Any ideas of what I can give him to clear it up? Or are there any vet techs who can off hand recommend what I should suggest to the vet since they sure haven’t helped clear it up either and I don’t want to keep spending money if they aren’t even fixing the problem.

Hi I just re-located to Hyderabad from Kolkata, and would like to know which of the following operators - AIRTEL, VODAFONE, IDEA offers the best speeds? Would look forward to some actual users (on PC) sharing their views with speeds.

Here’s one, I got a Vodafone sim card today, stuck the Vodafone software on my k800i using Da Vinci, all was fine until I went to make a call and discovered there is no button for hanging up, the button that u use for hanging up says “More” and if you hit it there is nothing in there for hanging up, just options for going through the phone, to hang up I hve to power off
Then problem 2, Vodafone live does not work, it says connection failure even though the right option is selected
Problem 3, it suddely dawned on me why I left Vodafone, went to phone customer services and once again they are having technical problem
Anyone any ideas?

My son is 11 and watches all the mod movies. I got him Oblivion for pc (already had xbox sigh) and I know he’s going to want to start making those movies. What else will he need? How does he start?

I know the terminal command on a mac, so please don’t give me that unless you can get it to work on a PC. New iPhone software, new itunes. There has to be a way to disable it.

I bought a duox 2 mod chip for my xbox and i have tried to use it and i think i may have ruined the chip, but i am not sure. How can i tell if i can still use this chip or if its garbage?
