At my work I build software using C#, .NET, Flex, web services and stored procedures… We pretty much just call stored procedures for just about every interaction with our database, we do not embbed any sql statements at all.. So far it been working well, its just we use them for EVERYTHING! is that a bad thing? What woudl be a good time to use them versus just embedding the code. My boss says our whole reasoning for using them is to help stop “sql injection” in which when you think about it stored procedures seem pretty helpful with that sort, but the way we do things (call them using web services that are never exposed to the user) seems kinda pointless to use them.. considering there is not any real way for the user to enter sql statements thanks to the web serivce calls. What yah guyz think?

you don’t say what your problem is, exactly, but IF you have a user with admin rights (root, thus, or member of the root group) you can simply run YAST from the command line;
it will start in character mode and allow you full access to the admin of your PC.
try
myPC> startx
to get access to a graphical interface
if you already ARE in a GUI (KDE, Gnome or so) start Yast
(icon with a kind of wrench in a green circle)

I am currently running avg but a lot of people have been telling me it is uselesss and it certainly didnt help much when my computer was overrun with viruses a couple of months ago, I ended up having to format HD.
I already have zonealarm firewall, lavasoft and spybot and mozilla, I just need a new better antivirus program.
Also does anyone know any good regcleaners?

Help I’ve been scammed. I have given all my personal details including bank account to a company claiming I have won a lottery jackpot. I have emptied my bank account but I know they have my details in their email account. I have heard you can hack into email accounts but how can I do this? These guy’s really need to be stopped! you could be you next.

Someone is hacking in my match profile and it is showing that I’m on line when I have signed out. I have changed my password and it is still happening.

I am living in a small village where the signal is useless, i a currently using O2 which is a complete waste of time. I have been told that Vodafone and Orange has pretty good coverage. Can’t decide who to swap to. Anyone have any ideas or who offers more benefits?

My Ps2 has stopped working, it seems like its lense has gone bad. I’ve got a spare Ps2 but its not moded. Can I detach mod chip from my old Ps2 and install it to the new one?
