My Antivirus Keeps Popping Up And Asking Me What To Do About The Exact Same Virus?

Author: admin  //  Category: AntiVirus

The virus is a trojan horse, its TR/Agent.29184.47, if it matters. But every five or six seconds my antivirus, which is the one with the red umbrella as a symbol, I can’t remember the name, it pops up and asks me what it wants me to do about the virus. I choose delete every single time and it always comes back up. It’s the exact same virus and the exact same location. What can I do about this?

  1. SpoilleR Says:

The name of your anti virus is “AVIRA”
Just cancel system restore and then run the scan on “SAFE MODE”

  2. Church Boy Says:

Trojan horse viruses isn’t really a virus at all, it is only meant to scare you into thinking its a virus. First you need to quaratine the virus then delete it. If it still pops up follow the directory path way and delete it there from your computer.
Some internet web browsers such as yahoo search bar, google search bar, etc. get detected by your antivirus and you are alerted. If you have one of these try deleting it and see if it solves your problem

The best I’ve ever seen against trojans is a-squared, free from Emisoft. Get it here:http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free…
Download it, install it, update it and run it. Best to you…

AVG is a much better antivirus and has won the top “VB 100 Award” (top lab test prize for antivirus). Apparently you are using Avira which gives their threat name to it.
If AVG does not remove it you may need to simply reboot into Safe Mode that stops all processes including malware to allow security scans and removals / quarantines.
    XP Safe Mode:
Start > Run > type msconfig > OK > panel > click BOOT.INI tab > SAFE MODE …… auto reboots.
No internet connection in Safe Mode - update to latest defintions first for scans. Scan with antivirus. Delete threats.
    Return to Normal Mode….
Start > Run > msconfig > OK > panel > General tab > NORMAL … auto reboots to normal. Open antivirus and delete threats from virus vault (quarantined) type folder.

a-squared (a-squared) is a complementary product to antivirus software and desktop firewalls on MS Windows computers. Antivirus software specializes in detecting classic viruses. Many available products have weaknesses in detecting other malicious software (Malware) like Trojans, Dialers, Worms and Spyware (Adware). a-squared fills the gap that malware writers exploit. Automatic updates: In a-squared Free the updater must be run manually. The auto-update feature of a-squared Personal checks hourly for new available updates and installs them automatically. a-squared Free is freeware! You can download and use it completely for free.
