I have tried Kaspersky which is an all in one protection suite but I found it slowed down my computer and wasn’t worth the price I paid for.
I am now using the free version of AVG and am considering zone alarm as the firewall. Both are freely available.
Are the commercial AVG and zone alarm any good?
Are there any antivirus and firewall software, which are freely available and are effective in their protection?

The antivirus on my copmuter has expired and I am tring to delete it off my system so I can download a different software. How so I remove the program? I have already tried going into the control panel.

I have Windows Vista and I didn’t get an antivirus as of yet. Is it safe for me to download IE 8 anyways, just as I would download (for example) a security update or something like that? It popped up finally in the Windows Update on my computer and I would really like to know. Thank you for your help!

I have installed an antivirus which is one year old. Now i have upgraded it through web. I just want to write the complete upgraded antivirus onto a disc with the setup file. Can i do so. If so, please help me.

I have a computer virus and have removed alot of ifected files with avast, but it’s still here, what should I do?
And I’m not gonna install another antivirus than Avast. Any experts out there?

My dad is convinced that our computer is fine just with Mozilla Firefox blocking pop-ups, but since this is the third time this computer has had its hardware wiped clean by viruses, I’m not too sure that this computer will last without anything. Every time I ask him if we have protection, he just says we have Mozilla. So I’m confused. So what’s the best free antivirus?

I am currently running avg but a lot of people have been telling me it is uselesss and it certainly didnt help much when my computer was overrun with viruses a couple of months ago, I ended up having to format HD.
I already have zonealarm firewall, lavasoft and spybot and mozilla, I just need a new better antivirus program.
Also does anyone know any good regcleaners?

I have a Dell Laptop and some how over the weekend Internet antivirus pro(IAP) decided it wanted to come on to my laptop. As soon as I hit explorer to go on it comes up with the screen that I have to click on to go to an unprotected site which then pops on IAP! I only have AVG for protection on the laptop!

I’m thinking about installing a free antivirus, a free antispyware and a free firewall. Three freewares in total.

System Antivirus 2008 will not stop popping up on my computer. It pops up about once a minute and its hard to work on my computer. It comes up and wants to scan my computer files and then says if i pay I can have everything removed. Please somebody help me!
