    You can only mod version 1.0 the original release. Later releases prevent modding due to the hot coffee uproar. Installing S.A.M.I, san andreas mod installer makes modding easy and there are literally hundreds of sites where you can get mods.     SAMI is a good mod installer ,but if you want to use mods without an installer, it depends what mod you use. Some have to be installed,some only need to replace some files.A good site for moding is http://gtagarage.com/ .
