i have a vodafone brand mobile phone and i can send and recieve texts although the problem i have is that i can ring people and they can ring me but i cant hear them but they can hear me its very confusing because the speaker works fine
any ideas??

Most phones have an option that in a conference ( a conversation of more than 2 callers ) you can mute yourself and only hear the others talking. There is a slight chance you may have this option already activated from the phone menu so please check for this.
In my case, I’ve got an HTC Diamond and did this several times but always finished the conversation with the mute off.
Try to remember, did you have a conference over the phone, and you muted yourself, and closed the conference with the mute on ( activated ) ?
