Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

HI,
I went on holiday to germany and suddenly came up with the idea of getting a new phone but it was another week till i was back in england so i decided to buy the phone there, It was the sony erricson w810i, so now i’ve got back from england and brought an orange sim card (pay as you go) and its fine, the only problem is that i cant connect to the internet. I go into internet settings, and it tells you to select a net work, but the networks that come up are: E-Plus Wap, T-Moblie Wap, Vodafone Wap, o2 Wap, T-mobile MMS, T-mobile Int, But then at the top it says create a new profile so i click on that then it says connect using, then i click new profile again, and then it gives me an option of, GPRS data or GSM data, then if i click on either of them it says enter a name, so i enter orange, then this is there weird bit, and i need help filling out,

Don’t bother messing about with the settings yourself. Just click the link below and get them sent by Orange to your phone in the form of text messges.http://www2.orange.co.uk/servlet/Satelli…

Assuming you’re with orange, either google for orange gprs settings or go to sony ericsson website to get the settings.
Once both have been sent to your phone via text message, the phone will work fine.
Failing all that, orange can send the settings to you if you ring them. Same system - by text message.

Ok! Tek. Your nearly there, just one more thing to do, switch your phone on PRESS *#06# a serial number will appear on the screen! Jot it down on a piece of paper! Your network operator will need the number to ID your device, to send the settings to your phone!
