    Hi George,
This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team
If you have Norton AntiVirus 2008 or 2009 and are receiving alerts, Norton is most likely alerting you that the file you are downloading may be infected, or that there may be infected files on your system. Open Norton AntiVirus and check the logs to see if it has detected any infected files.
Manually run LiveUpdate to make sure that you have the latest program and definition files applied. When you have finished applying all of the available updates, restart your computer in Windows Safe Mode and perform a “Full System Scan” to check for infections. If any infections are found you should allow Norton to delete or quarantine those files.
If by chance you are using Norton Internet Security, then you will need to configure the Norton Firewall to allow access for whichever Bit Torrent client you are using. You will, however, still be alerted by Norton Internet Security if it suspects infected files.
    Thanks,
    Mike

Because bittorent uses downloads from 3rd parties. Many people have complained of viruses when they’ve downloaded stuff from bittorent membersusers .

Delete your P2P program (bittorrent) end of problem.
