Can’t call out, no service all day, yet other mobile on v/f is ok . unless i put my sim in and no service. rang customer srevices and said my account is ok (not been cut off) any ideas?

i havent ever used it, its been sitting in its box for a year.
has it disconnected me?
its pay as you go, vodafone
any ideas on how to get it to work?

I have an idea for a webservice/webcommunity that will, if all goes as plan, generate as much traffic and interest as something like google or ebay. My question is, what kind of server hardware/software (storage space) and internet connection will i need to support something like that? I’m guessing a T1 line for an internet connection but don’t know a whole lot about that and the costs and the costs of hardware. Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated. If someone can give me a quick overdraft of the necessities I would be most greatful.

In a business story in ‘The Tribune’ newspaper (Dated 1 July 2008), it was mentioned that Spice Telecom is the fifth largest cell-phone service provider in India. How is this possible when there already are HUGE operators like- Reliance, Tata Indicom, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone (Hutch), BSNL, MTNL & Idea.
Is Spice Telecom larger than Tata Indicom or MTNL or Idea?

I am utterly confused after researching the offers and tariff plans of various cell service providers of India. I have been using Tata indicom pre paid service (CDMA) for the past 4 years. Now I want to change my service provider because I am not even able to contact my husband at his office just 2 kilometers away (My husband also is a Tata indicom subscriber). I am fed up with the message I often get when I call him - “the person you are calling is not reachable” or “the number you are calling is out of coverage area”. So, please guide me which mobile service is better when it comes to connectivity as well as budget - Airtel, Tata, Vodafone, Idea, Reliance, BSNL or any other?

Among the private players, which one has the best network/lowest cost? I would be taking a prepaid connection.
