Can Mod Podge Be Put Over Photos Or Will It Ruin Them?

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

I am putting photos onto a piece of wood and plan to use Mod Podge over the whole thing to seal it. If I put the Mod Podge directly over the photos will it cause any problems with the pictures or is it photo-safe?

Use a clear acrylic as a base layer, made for photo preservation, to protect the pic. I think MP might discolor a photo if added directly

If the photo is going to be exposed to UV light, it will not be safe in any case.
Many artists cover their images with some kind of clear protection when they are mounted on wood or metal.
I have only seen images that have been printed on photo paper mounted that way, so I don’t know what kind of issues you will encounter if you use prints from ink-jet printers.
