What Can I Do To Make My Mod Podge Dry With Less Streaks?

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

I am making little playing cards out of cardstock with photos glued on. I want to Mod Podge over the backs and fronts to make them stronger, more durable, and slightly water resistant.
When I use the Mod Podge, I paint it on with a paint brush. When it dries, it’s really streaky. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the streaks?

What a great question! One I’ve asked myself before over the years while working on craft projects! And there are techniques to help you out!
    1. Try using the MATTE finish Mod Podge instead of glossy. This will still give your decor a shine, but not with as much glare, so you won’t be able to see the streaks as much.
    2. Try using a sponge-brush padded applicator instead of an old paint brush. They look like paint brush handles, with a sponge attached to the end. These really help eliminate the streaking.
    3. Try applying 2-3 coats [drying time of 10-15 minutes in between] instead of only 1. This will cut down on streaks immensely!
    Good luck with your project!
