Error Installing Linux Root Partition Not Defined?

i have problem in installing Ubuntu and Fedora. Its says root partition not defined. I could not understand what to do. Please help me out. I do not want to delete my existing partition.

    I understand your problem exactly.The solution is quite simple really.The system is basically asking you to confirm which partition you are using for your Linux install.Open up Gparted & click on your chosen partition(get it right!),select “Edit partition” & from options confirm all details all details are correct.Then just mark it with the root sign ie. / at the last option.It really is that simple.Feel free to email me if you still cannot work out my explanation.Good luck!!

    Install Ubuntu using Wubi.http://wubi-installer.org/
    This will install it without deleting the current partitions.
